A custom system for John's sister's gathering that pairs forged, reduced letterforms with an expressive secondary wordmark, bringing distinct forms together into a cohesive identity for NorseForged Gathering — myriad meets melding.
A logo for all types
Alyssa (the sister) of the NorseForged Gathering approached John (her brother) while they were visiting their mom and it sparked a conversation that resulted in a newly forged logo.
The idea is to visually represent what they actually do: bring together all sorts of different merchants and consumers together where people can purchase handmade items, eat various foods, and learn all while melding and mingling together.
The NorseForged Gathering logo was designed to reflect the project’s namesake while remaining versatile across a range of applications. The NORSEFORGED wordmark is built from reduced, forged letterforms—giving the identity a literal connection to the process and character of its origin.
The Gathering lettering is customized to suggest a collection of distinct forms coming together. While the characters do not follow a conventional baseline, their shared rhythm creates a cohesive, harmonious whole.
