Designing for Search When You’re Not the Expert in the Room
Design often starts in unfamiliar territory. So I created a small internal tool that turns images into SEO- and AEO-ready text, helping designers and developers stay accurate, accessible, and search-friendly.

When you work across industries, you’re constantly stepping into unfamiliar territory. One week it’s government services, the next it’s automotive, healthcare, or education. Sometimes the challenge isn’t design or development, it’s accurate alt text to make sure the experience is the best it can be for everyone at the same time, including search engines.

Try out the generator.

Search engines don’t reward “close enough.” And people should never a have lesser experience because of accessibility. Alt text, descriptions, and metadata need to be precise, descriptive, and aligned with how people actually search and ask questions.

To help with that, I built a small internal tool at Aether Creative Studio that generates SEO-ready descriptions with AEO (Answer Engine Optimization) in mind directly from an image.

Basic by design. Just for fast alt text.

The workflow is intentionally simple, at least for now. You upload or paste an image from the clipboard, and the tool generates a clear, structured description optimized for both traditional SEO and modern answer engines.

The value becomes most apparent when you’re working outside your comfort zone. I recently used it to generate alt text for a car improvement shop. I don’t instinctively know every make, model, trim, or year, but the content still needed to be accurate, accessible, and search-friendly. Cars are a strong use case for alt text generation because their distinctive visual features make it easier to derive meaningful, descriptive context from an image.

The tool helps bridge that gap. It doesn’t replace judgment or review, but it significantly reduces friction and research time for designers and developers who need to move efficiently without sacrificing quality.

This reflects how AI is used at Aether Creative Studio: as quiet infrastructure that supports clarity, accessibility, and long-term performance without getting in the way of craft.

If this sounds useful, try it out. And if you do, feedback is welcome.
