About
John Hansen is a California-based designer, front-end developer, and founder of Aether Creative Studio, where he leads the creation of brand systems, websites, and digital experiences that blend strategy, aesthetics, and technology. With a background spanning graphic design, UX/UI, branding, and responsive web development, his work is rooted in building thoughtful systems that help businesses communicate clearly and grow with intention.
John originally began his creative path studying game design before transitioning into graphic design, drawn to the intersection of visual storytelling, interaction, and digital environments. Over time, that interest evolved naturally into front-end development and UX — especially during the early era of web design when layouts were still built with tables, rows, and heavily manual structures before the rise of modern responsive frameworks. That progression gave him a strong appreciation for both visual craft and the technical foundations behind digital products.
Before founding Aether Creative Studio, John worked across freelance, agency, startup, and product-focused environments, contributing to branding systems, enterprise UI design, responsive websites, design systems, and marketing experiences. His background includes work with startups, media technology companies, educational initiatives, and growing small businesses throughout California and beyond. Over the years, he developed a reputation for bridging design thinking with practical implementation — helping clients move from fragmented visuals toward cohesive digital ecosystems.
At Aether Creative Studio, John focuses on modern web experiences, UX/UI systems, brand identity, Webflow development, and scalable design infrastructure for both private-sector and public-sector clients. His approach combines strategic clarity with hands-on execution, often working closely across design, development, content structure, and user experience to ensure projects feel cohesive from concept through launch.
Outside of design and development, John enjoys classical guitar, reading, distance running, gaming culture, and exploring great food — especially anything exceptionally spicy. Those interests continue to shape his creative perspective, drawing inspiration from rhythm, storytelling, systems thinking, and immersive experiences across both digital and physical spaces.
